Taking a Look at Child Care in Dane County

Child Care will be the focus of our League's Children and Families at Risk committee for the coming months. Plans under consideration include visiting day care facilities and interviewing parents, teachers, and other resource people, as well as learning more about the kinds of programs and facilities available. The issue of child care is critical: gathering information will be a real contribution to our League members and to the community, and we hope, will give us the foundation for action in the community. Would you like to be involved? (Of course, you would determine the extent of your involvement!) Voters' Service

The League will be registering voters at the Farmer's Market at Hilldale State Office Bldg. as well as on the Square next summer. If you are interested in helping and haven't signed up yet, please call or e-mail Myrna MCNatt (831-5759) mdmcnatt@netzero.net. If you have ideas for places to register voters, please contact Myrna or the League office. Also, if you would be interested in getting LWV birthday cards to 18 year olds in area high schools, contact Myrna or the League office.
